Prodigy of Rainbow Tower – Charles Yallowitz

Published by

I’m not sure if anyone else wants to admit it, but we all know there’s some sort of . . . pecking order, I’d call it, when it comes to bloggers. That’s probably the wrong way to put it, and I know at least SOMEONE out there is going to misunderstand what I meant. I’m not saying that there is some legitimate list (The Who’s Who of Blogging). There’s not. I’m saying that we all have this idea in our heads – ESPECIALLY when we first start out blogging (and I still consider myself a noob at it). It’s our own little mental list of people who, despite interacting with so many OTHER people, would not DARE interact with us. I know I had (still have) my own list of people I’d think would have zero interest in acknowledging my existence in the world.

Charles Yallowitz was one of those people for me.

I saw him interacting on blogs that I follow and, for whatever reason, thought he’d have no time or desire to include me in those interactions.

One day, I said, “To hell with it,” and started following him. And seriously, I am so freaking glad that I did. He is one of the most awesome people I’ve talked to on here, and I’ve talked to a LOT of awesome people on the good ole’ WordPress.

Anyway, in all my being nonexistent (basically) on here, I noticed on Twitter that he released the second book in his series – Legends of Windemere.

Woo! to Charles from me for releasing a new book!

It got me thinking that I wanted to make a new thing on here for all my numerous author friends. So every time I catch someone with some super awesome news, I’m going to post about it so everyone out there can soak up the awesomeness that comes with this sort of thing. I might be a little late (and I very well might actually miss things while I’m working – feel free to inform me if I do), but hey, better late than never. Don’t some people say that? I think they do . . .

Anyway, if you don’t know Charles, go follow him NOW so you can! I hyper-linked his name up there at the top to his blog, did you notice?ย  ๐Ÿ˜‰

And go check out his new book – Prodigy of Rainbow Tower!

Love that cover, by the way.

If you haven’t read the first in the series, and you’re interested in the FABULOUS Fantasy genre, go do that too! Beginning of a Hero

And, if you’re absolutely anything like me and simply CANNOT STAND e-books, here (HERE) is a link to Beginning of a Hero in paperback.

Congrats and good-luck-wishes sent your way from me through the computer, Charles.

Thanks for being so awesome. ๐Ÿ™‚

I sure do hope I didn’t mess anything up and that all of the links are accurate. If they’re not, someone please let me know!

Charles is the best – and you don’t have to be a serious fantasy reader to enjoy this series. It was totally out of my favored genres and I loved the first book – need to find the time so I can get started on the second book soon!

    1. cnmill Avatar

I was just getting ready to say, “Yeah, he’s super awesome,” and then I scrolled down to see all the declarations of his awesomeness by everyone. Hehe.

I wouldn’t imagine you’d have to be a serious fantasy reader to enjoy the books. His way of writing things, paired with his humor is just . . . AWESOME. There it is again!

      Thanks for stopping by. ๐Ÿ™‚

This post truly made my day. Thank you. Never thought of myself as very high up the foodchain. I’m blushing.

I’m working on getting Prodigy of Rainbow Tower into paperback. Delays with formatting that I just found last night. I’ll keep you posted on that.

    1. cnmill Avatar

I’m glad to hear that it did because I sort of (or more than sort of) felt like an idiot writing it.
And I guess it will make me sound like an even bigger idiot to say something about you being high up on . . . my(?) food chain?
I worry sometimes, about my lack of shame.

I don’t know, I was just extremely intimidated to talk to you for whatever reason. I’m extremely glad I got over it. I always love hearing anything that you have to say about anything, to be honest. And I don’t have very many people to randomly chit chat about blades/armor with. haha

PLEASE do let me know whenever the paperback stuff gets worked out!
I have such a hard time absorbing anything on a screen.

And I really do wish you the best with this new book, and with all the others.

      1. Charles Yallowitz Avatar

Shame? I think I traded that in for a few book sales and a bag of chips in April. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve been told that my major blogging makes me come off as a major power. Truth is that I simply have to time to make multiple posts. You’ll see a lot of spazzy things in what I do around here. I’m just having fun and making friends while pushing the books.

The paperback should be available on Createspace soon and I was told Amazon by next week. The formatting issue was fixed an hour ago.

      2. cnmill Avatar

Haha. Yeah, you kind of DO have to be a bit shameless just to write books in general, I think.

Honestly, I’ve even talked to my husband several times before about wondering how in the WORLD you have time to:
        A) Write books
        B) Have a kid
        C) Do all of the blogging/interacting that you do

It seriously blows my mind. I get overwhelmed just LOOKING at the SCROLL OF DESTINY that is every one of your comment sections. And don’t ask me what’s up with me giving you alphabetized lists in – what seems to be – every comment.
I don’t know how you do it though, seriously.

But hey, that’s what it’s all about – having fun, making friends, and . . . you know, the OTHER stuff.

I have every intention to buy, when available. ๐Ÿ™‚

I love what you stand for! I look forward to getting to know you. I follow Charles as well. He is awesome!

Well, we’re all here to support and be supported in the craziness of life (and book publication, lol). I always look forward to meeting new people on here. Some of the things I’ve read and the people I’ve talked to have helped me a lot these past however many months I’ve been blogging – from rethinking things, to just knowing that I’m not alone. It definitely kept me sane for the small break I took from writing.

He seriously is awesome though. Ridiculously so.

I think what you did speaks greatly of your character and supporting you is going to be my pleasure. Huge hugs Belinda. As we’re new to one another, if you’d like to know my history here in one post; you can read A day in the life – when you’re trapped in your body. I look forward to reviewing your archives to catch up. Blessings

      2. cnmill Avatar

Gotta love the giant web of love from the WP community. This is seriously an awesome place. I look forward to supporting you as well!
I just got done reading that post you mentioned and . . . just wow. I don’t even know what to say. Again, this just makes me so grateful for this site and all the love on here, and also for all the people we can meet that we never would’ve met otherwise. I’m definitely glad to have run into you on here. Another, “Thank you,” owed to Charles, I reckon, along with him being so awesome and all that.

        Fair warning, when reviewing my archives . . . I am . . . well, a bit of a spaz with moronic tendencies. >.>

  5. sknicholls Avatar

Charles is an awesome good guy. He was feeling a bit under the weather today until you came along ๐Ÿ™‚ I don’t know you, but I feel like we are already friends because we have this mutual friend.

    1. cnmill Avatar

I’m sad to hear that, but I’m extremely glad that some stressed out typing on my part (I was worried he’d think I was a moron, haha) could brighten someone’s day. I’d had intention to write this up yesterday morning, but hit the brick wall of a horrible mood and didn’t. So maybe I’ll say I had a bad day yesterday so that I could bring a little good for someone else on the next. Doesn’t seem so bad, when looking at it like that.

And hey, I’m always up for new friends. One can never have too many of those in their life. ๐Ÿ™‚

Also, I’ll say it again because you said it as well. He really IS awesome!

  6. melissajanda Avatar

We all love Charles. He is an incredibly friendly, funny, and generous soul who does so much for others through his blog. It was because of him that I found your blog. Imagine that ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. cnmill Avatar

That seems to be the general consensus. EVERYBODY LOVES CHARLES!
He really is all those things. Pretty amazing, I think.

Hehe. I’m gonna be totally honest and admit that I literally giggled over the last bit. XD

  7. ioniamartin Avatar

I have absolutely no idea who this person you speak of is, but I suppose if i can possibly find the time I might have to look him up. ๐Ÿ™‚ Great post and very well deserved.

    1. cnmill Avatar

Maybe it’s weird of me, but I thought everybody knew Charles and that I was one of the last to figure it out. But that’s what I was hoping for – that somebody didn’t and me posting this saying, “Hey, you totally have to check him out!” would make someone go, “Hey, I should totally go check him out!”
And I was rolling, seeing what you said in the Re-blog after. I take it you went and jumped on as well. XD
Thanks for the Re-Blog, by the way. Spreading the word of the awesomeness that IS Charles Yallowitz!
      Mission Accomplished. ๐Ÿ˜€

Ionia and I are actually best friends. Check out my poem ‘Our Ring Leader’ and you’ll see.

      2. cnmill Avatar

I HAVE BEEN FOOLED ON MY OWN BLOG!

Meh, it happens. Quite easily, in fact, when it comes to me.
Now that you say that I’m like, “I KNEW I’d seen her face picture in the SCROLL OF DESTINY somewhere!”
Funny how that always comes after you make an ass out of yourself. ๐Ÿ˜‰
But really, that was the whole point of it.
Hopefully somebody out there got the message or something.
        haha

I do not tend to use the word awesome much, but it is certainly deserved here. Go Charles! You are awesome.

    1. cnmill Avatar

Awesome seems to be the only word that anyone can use right now. haha
But hey, if it works, it works! Right?

Thanks for the Re-Blog. Gotta spread the love. ๐Ÿ™‚

Pour a glass of something and we’ll all toast to it.
Or . . . are we technically toasting now?
Does one NEED a drink to make a toast?
Why TF is it called TOASTING?

      NOW I WANT TOAST.

Anyway. Sorry for the randomness, and thanks for the Re-Blog. Hopefully we’re reaching all the stragglers out there. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Serendipity. The best part of this blogging world is meeting people like you and Charles. He is an awesome blogger and author. And you are awesome for your generous spirit. I’m looking forward to reading your blog and hope you join in our blog hopping ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. cnmill Avatar

I love that word. Seeing it somewhere on my screen just made my day. Fantastic movie too, but that’s beside the point.

I feel like I can’t say it enough. He really is just AWESOME.
I was just thinking that maybe, if there was anybody else out there like me (totally intimidated to talk to him) that they’d see he really is just super great.

I have never done a blog hop, but I’ve seen other people do them. I’m going to be totally honest and admit that I don’t know diddly about them.
I’m actually extremely surprised that anybody would actually even SUGGEST I do anything like that. I don’t feel like I ever have anything worthwhile to say. haha
But hey, if you want me to, I’m in!

      1. 1WriteWay Avatar

I’m probably using “blog hop” incorrectly :). I just literally meant hopping from one blog to another, making comments when you feel you have something to say. (Sometimes bloggers are just happy to hear “Nicely done” in response to their posts.)

      2. cnmill Avatar

Haha. I almost always have something to say. Whether or not I think people will have any interest in hearing it is another matter entirely.
But you’re right, I think most people are just happy to hear anything at all. I know I feel sort of ridiculous sometimes. I’d be happy to just get a smiley, or the word, “Hey.”
        XD

Now, if only his name could somehow be twisted like a certain current pop star . . .
      XD

    2. cnmill Avatar

He’s PROBABLY going to want to smack me through the computer if he sees that one.

  13. tjtherien Avatar

nice shout out… Charles is one of the good one out there and he deserves it

    1. cnmill Avatar

Then we are all in agreement!

You couldn’t hear it, but I was channeling Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn just then (in my head). BUT IT IS NOT THIS DAY!
